Sunrise Ranch Tour

Please join HLC on Saturday, October 11 at 2:00 for a tour of Sunrise Ranch in Eden Valley west of Loveland.  The tour will be led by HLC president and historical consultant Ron Sladek, who recently completed a successful nomination to have the site listed in the Colorado State Register of Historic Properties.  We'll learn about the history of Sunrise Ranch, which was founded in the mid-1940s as a spiritual retreat and organic farm (the oldest in Colorado!) and is still going strong today.  We'll also tour the campus on foot to see some of the interesting architecture there, including the remarkable 400-seat geodesic Dome Chapel auditorium.  

The event will start in the Pavilion, which is adjacent to the main Sunrise Ranch parking lot.  In addition to the tour, we'll enjoy coffee, tea and treats provided by Sunrise Ranch's wonderful in-house kitchen.  Be sure to RSVP soon for this…
